      1. REVISION 004

        Preseason Extension Clarification

        Following an administrative review, the Committee identified a previously unclassified period between two scheduled preseason sessions.

        The period has been designated Extended Preseason.

        The Committee regrets the oversight.

      2. REVISION 009

        Correction to Championship Window

        An earlier version of the competitive calendar inadvertently displayed a World Championship window as open to all competitors.

        The error was corrected before any championship authorization was issued.

        No championship standing was affected.

      3. REVISION 012

        Clarification Regarding Published Dates

        The Committee acknowledges that a previously scheduled championship window was later reclassified as an exhibition.

        The original calendar was accurate when published.

        The revised calendar is accurate now.

      4. REVISION 018

        Preliminary Sanctioning Consideration

        A scheduled period of Preliminary Sanctioning Consideration has been postponed.

        The Committee will reconsider whether to reschedule the consideration period.

        No date has been established.

      Regarding Screenshots of Previous Calendar Versions

      The Office of Competition Scheduling acknowledges that certain participants have retained photographic or digital copies of previously published calendars.

      The Office does not dispute the authenticity of these materials.

      However, screenshots of earlier calendar versions do not supersede the calendar currently in force.

      The Committee appreciates the public’s interest in preserving historical scheduling information.

      CLASSIFICATIONS

      Preseason Competition
      Competitive play of a preparatory nature. Results are recorded. Championships are not at stake.
      Extended Preseason
      The preseason, extended.
      Exhibition
      Friday evenings are reserved for exhibition play.
      Practice
      Saturdays are set aside for practice.
      Committee Recess
      The Committee does not sit on Sundays, except in emergencies.
      Championship Window
      A period in which a World Championship may be contested. Announced by telephone, as it occurs.
      Preliminary Sanctioning Consideration
      A period reserved for determining whether a future championship window should be considered.

      Championship Scheduling & Advance Notification

      World Championship windows are confirmed when sufficient information becomes available.

      Sometimes that information becomes available during the match.

      The Committee considers this a more reliable approach than attempting to predict the future.

      Questions Concerning the Schedule

      Can I plan around an upcoming World Championship?

      The Committee discourages reliance on anticipated championship events.

      Competitors are encouraged to remain available.

      What if I win a game during a scheduled championship window?

      The Committee will review the match to determine whether it was officially sanctioned.
